Abstract
Canada and Australia have many things in common. They are both Commonwealth countries and have developed economies with abundant natural resources. Both economies have a strong immigrant base with a similar composition, but Australia’s population of about 27 million is smaller as compared to Canada’s of approximately 39 million. But what about the countries’ approaches to monetary policies during events like COVID-19? This review aims to provide a comparison of the two countries’ central bank’s monetary policies since the beginning of 2020 and their economic impacts.
