Personal profile

Research biography

I am a Senior Lecturer (Human Resources Discipline) at AIB.

I did my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management at Curtin Business School, Curtin University, Perth (Western Australia). The title of my PhD thesis was Resolving a Crisis of Habitus: The Experiences of Professionals and Managers from South Asia in Australia". Therefore, understanding the career-related challenges faced by skilled migrants to achieve professional recognition in Western countries is one of my core research interests. However, I have also diversified myself to other Human Resources (HR) and Management areas by working collaboratively with my academic colleagues. I am also currently collaborating on research with colleagues from my institution (Australian Institute of Business) as well as from international universities.

I have an emerging record of research and scholarly activity within the discipline of Human Resource and Management.  I have published in academic journals. I have been to local international conferences and co-authored a book chapter. I have also provided guidance to students for their MBA research projects. I am currently associate/ co-supervisor to two DBA/PhD candidates.
