Accepting Research Candidates
Supervisor expertise
I am interested in hearing from potential research candidates with a strong interest in the beauty of banking and financial service provision. This may involve (among others) their efficiency, competition, contestability, revenue/asset diversification, market power, systemic stability, compliance, and their interaction with monetary and regulatory policies.
Research activity per year
I am a Lecturer (Finance Discipline) at AIB.
My research interests are in financial intermediation, risk management, and financial economics. I have expertise in modelling banks as providers of composite products on both sides of their balance sheets and ensuing risk implications for their diverse stakeholders. I also specialise in investigating how financial services industry interacts with the broader monetary and regulatory policies and the determinants and consequences of such interaction.
