Supervisor expertise

I am a qualitative researcher and specialise in conducting empirical studies that involve making cross-national comparisons between employees, organisations and management practices pertaining to different parts of the world. I have successfully supervised a PhD to completion and currently supervising other HDR candidates. I welcome any potential candidates who may be interested in pursuing a HDR qualification from AIB under my supervision.

Research biography

I am an academic in business and management science with over ten of experience working in the Australian and British higher education sectors, including public universities and private higher education institutes. I hold a PhD in Management from Newcastle Business School (AACSB accredited) at University of Newcastle, Australia and currently work as a Senior Lecturer in Management and Academic Lead for Higher Degree Research (HDR) Peer-Mentoring Program within the Discipline of Management & Human Resources at the Australian Institute of Business in Adelaide, South Australia. I have also previously worked with Newcastle University Business School in the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining academia, I worked as a Recruitment Consultant with Chandler Macleod, one of Australia's leading recruitment agencies. I am a passionate researcher with a growing record of publications and the ability to achieve excellence in scholarly research. I sit on the editorial advisory board of Review of International Business and Strategy journal and currently serve as the communications editor for Asian Business & Management journal. I am a member of the Academic of Management (USA), the British Academy of Management (BAM), and the Academy of International Business (AIB). I have peer-reviewed scholarly articles for some of the leading international management/HRM (IM/IHRM) and international business journals.
