Research biography

I am an experienced academic leader with international strategy development and change management experience in large universities in Australia and New Zealand. With a PhD in Communications and an early adopter in online teaching and learning, I have a deep and lived experience of contemporary approaches to learning and leadership of academic teams. I have held leadership roles at Macquarie University, the University of Southern Queensland, the University of South Australia and as Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic and International at Massey University.

Research interests

I have researched and published in Online Teaching and Learning, Technology and Higher Education, Communication, and Women and Leadership and more recently the role of social and other media in effecting student communities in the online environment.
