Personal profile

Research biography

Prior to joining academia, I was a senior marketing professional with over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing strategic and marketing plans for organisations varying in size from large national and multinationals to new business ventures across multiple different industries.  I've also experience serving on industry and not-for-profit boards. I completed my doctoral degree (PhD) in 2007 while working full time in industry on the topic of Developing and Implementing a Market Orientation in a Government Business Enterprise using an action research approach.

My research is highly applied. I'm interested in solving practical business problems in complex real-world scenarios using innovative workplace-based approaches, such as action learning and action research, to develop the competencies and capacities of working adults.
