Personal profile

Research biography

I am a Senior Lecturer (Finance Discipline) at AIB.

My research focuses on executives and 'directors' attributes such as age, gender, experience, diversity, social network, and overconfidence and how these impact corporate policies and performance. Some of the research in these areas that I have co-authored include CEO foreign experience and impact on firm risk, CEO cultural background and capital structure decisions. I have also co-authored papers in behavioural finance. In addition to firm-level research, I am also interested in cross country studies that focus on institutional factors and their impact on companies' policies.
